Beam Trolley Track Wheels
Richmond supplies a comprehensive range of Beam Trolley Track Wheels for beam trolleys, girder trolleys and overhead material handling systems. Designed to suit standard channel sections, parallel flange beams and tapered beam flanges, these wheels provide smooth, reliable movement for suspended loads across industrial, manufacturing and lifting applications.
Our standard range is manufactured from durable SG Iron and suits handling capacities from 240kg up to 10 tonnes when the load is distributed across four wheels. Richmond also manufactures a local range of Beam Trolley Wheels from K1045 steel and can design custom wheels to suit specialised applications.
Richmond also supplies a complete range of Track Wheels and Industrial Wheels for rail-guided equipment, machinery and material handling systems.
Track Wheels for Beam & Girder Trolley Systems
Beam Trolley Track Wheels are designed to run along structural steel beams and channels, allowing suspended equipment or loads to travel safely and efficiently. They are commonly used on manual and powered beam trolleys supporting hoists, lifting equipment, conveyors and specialised machinery.
Unlike conventional track wheels mounted between two support plates, Beam Trolley Wheels are generally mounted on a single stub axle. This simplifies installation and maintenance while providing an economical solution for many light to medium-duty overhead handling applications. Richmond offers a range of wheel diameters and axle sizes to suit different beam profiles, load capacities and installation requirements.
Product Types by Application
Standard SG Iron Beam Trolley Wheels
Richmond’s standard Beam Trolley Track Wheels are manufactured from SG Iron and are available in wheel diameters from 48mm through to 195mm with multiple axle sizes.
These wheels are designed for reliable performance on standard channel sections and structural beams used throughout industrial lifting and material handling systems.
Heavy Capacity Beam Trolley Wheels
Larger Beam Trolley Wheels are suited to higher load applications where greater wheel diameter and axle capacity are required.
When correctly configured across four wheels, the standard range supports handling capacities of up to 10 tonnes for suitable trolley systems.
K1045 Steel Beam Trolley Wheels
Richmond also offers a locally manufactured range of Beam Trolley Wheels produced from K1045 steel.
These wheels provide an alternative for applications requiring different material characteristics or locally manufactured engineered components.
Custom Beam Trolley Wheels
Where standard sizes are not suitable, Richmond can manufacture custom Beam Trolley Wheels to meet specific dimensional or application requirements.
Our in-house engineering team can assist with specialised wheel profiles, materials and mounting arrangements for unique industrial systems.
Key Features
Designed for Standard Beam Sections
Wheel profiles are compatible with tapered beam flanges, universal columns and parallel flange channels commonly used throughout Australian industrial facilities.
This allows Beam Trolley Wheels to operate across a wide range of structural steel sections while maintaining reliable guidance.
Wide Size Range
Richmond supplies Beam Trolley Wheels in multiple diameters and axle sizes to suit different trolley designs and load capacities.
Selecting the correct wheel size helps achieve reliable operation and proper compatibility with the supporting beam.
High Load Capacity
When used in correctly designed four-wheel trolley assemblies, the standard range is suitable for handling capacities from 240kg up to 10 tonnes.
Proper load distribution and trolley design remain essential to achieving safe operating performance.
Sealed Bearing Design
Richmond Beam Trolley Wheels are designed as self-contained assemblies that minimise dust and dirt ingress during normal operation.
This provides dependable performance while reducing routine servicing requirements in many industrial environments.
Temperature Options
Standard operating temperatures range from approximately 3°C to 100°C.
High and low temperature bearing and grease options are available by special order for freezer and furnace applications ranging from -30°C to 350°C.
Custom Materials Available
For specialised operating environments, Richmond can manufacture Beam Trolley Wheels in stainless steel, aluminium and selected engineering materials.
These options allow wheels to be tailored for corrosive environments, specialised machinery or unique engineering requirements.
